Trip Overview.

Leading up to my trip.

• 4/24/2022

  Today is Sunday. I leave to Belize around midnight this Friday night and I currently have 2 car rental reservations and about 4 lodging reservations (ranging from 1 night to 4) and I honestly don’t remember where.

  I don’t know how people “plan” vacations. Anytime I try to plan anything, it completely changes and I waste my money on reservations, etc… so I gave that up.

  My only plan thus far, is to rent an SUV at the airport and start out by spending a night in the jungle, near Guatemala, a night in San Ignacio (potentially), then a couple/few days island hopping.

  Of course I plan to stay at hostels, but I’m debating spending my last night at some super luxurious resort & spa – so that I can return in peace lol. We’ll see what happens!

• 4/28/22

  I leave for Belize tomorrow at midnight.

  • I have not packed
  • I need to go get a spray tan
  • get my nails done
  • get 5 pounds of cat food out
  • clean the litter box
  • clean my house
  • drag the chick-chicks to my neighbors so the cats don’t eat them
  • book a PLACE TO STAY for 3 of the 5 days
  • get a covid test
  • PASS a covid test
  • get a go-pro battery charger
  • figure out how I’m getting to the airport
  • go into Applebee’s and explain that I CANNOT WORK TOMORROW NIGHT

  And I still have to work my day job and raise a kid.

• 5/1/22: San Ignacio, Belize –> Belmopan, Belize –> Belize City, Belize

• 5/2/22 through 5/3/22: Belize City –> San Pedro, Belize

  Transportation: Flew Tropic Air to Island, then Golf Cart Rental

  Lodging: DayDreamin Boutique Hotel

• My Return Flights were through United. They’re are no Delta or Alaska, but felt like First Class after flying Frontier.
